Itinerary

Itinerary

Start with a three-day classic route. If you have one extra day, slow the trip down and choose a resort bay, a convenient city area, or another sunset.

3 Days

Classic three-day route

Designed for first-time visitors who want beach time, key landmarks, and local food without packing the schedule too tightly.

Day 1

Arrive and settle into the coast

Check in near Sanya Bay or Dadonghai, then walk along the coast around sunset. Keep the evening simple with seafood, coconut chicken, or a cold local dessert.

Day 2

Spend a slow day around Yalong Bay

Head to Yalong Bay in the morning. Keep the afternoon open for the beach, a hotel pool, a cafe, or a nearby sea-view stop.

Day 3

Visit Nanshan and Tianya Haijiao

See Guanyin of Nanshan in the morning, then continue to Tianya Haijiao. Return to the city for Wenchang chicken or a relaxed local dinner.

4 Days

Four-day slow travel options

An extra day does not need to become another checklist. Choose one extension based on how you want the trip to feel.

For resort time: Haitang Bay

Spend the day around the hotel, the beach, and an easy dinner. Best for travelers who want a quieter pace.

For convenience: Dadonghai

Stay close to restaurants, transport, and evening walks if you prefer an easy base with more activity.

For photos: Sanya Bay sunset

Return to Sanya Bay in the evening and wait for the sky to change. It is simple, but often worth it.

Before You Go

Quick packing and planning notes

Sun protection: Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and light coverage for long beach days.

Transport: Group nearby attractions together so you do not cross the city too many times.

Pace: Set one main goal per day and keep extra time open for weather and rest.

Food: For seafood, confirm the price, weight, and cooking method before ordering.
